Housing for construction, energy and industrial projects
Construction, energy and industrial projects can run for a long time and change along the way. Housing needs to work with shifts, vehicles and worksites outside built-up areas, and ideally be possible to extend or adjust. One coordinating contact makes it easier to keep everything together.
Long and changing projects
These projects can run for months or years, and schedules can change. It therefore helps if the housing can be extended, shortened or added to without starting over.
Shifts and working hours
When staff work shifts, it helps if people on the same hours live together. Early starts and late finishes also make short travel times and undisturbed sleep important.
Vehicles and practical location
The worksite may be outside a built-up area. Housing close to the site with room for cars or work vehicles can matter more than a central location.
Group size
From a small crew to over a hundred people – group size decides whether one property is enough or several are needed. Read more in the guide on housing for large project teams.
One coordinating contact
With several properties, changing dates and staff coming and going, coordination becomes a large part of the work. One contact responsible for the whole setup lets project management focus on the project. In the solar park case study, Stayflow handled housing for two parallel projects from day one.
